The seven Korean bet types

Korea has seven bet types. The chances below assume 10 runners and a random pick, which makes difficulty easy to compare.

• Place (연승): top 3 (top 2 with 7 or fewer runners) — 3/10
• Win (단승): 1st — 1/10
• Quinella Place (복연승): both in the top 3, any order — 1/15
• Quinella (복승): 1st and 2nd, any order — 1/45
• Exacta (쌍승): 1st and 2nd in order — 1/90
• Trio (삼복승): top 3, any order — 1/120
• Trifecta (삼쌍승): top 3 in order — 1/720

Requiring the exact order makes a bet much harder. Start with Place or Win. Overseas operators use different names; see the comparison table below.
